Question about light sensitivity… one of mine and my husband’s most frequent arguments is about how sensitive my eyes are to light.

When I go outside on a sunny day, I not only have to wear sunglasses but visors in the car have to go down and I can’t drive a car without window tint. He thinks it’s crazy how I cannot tell if other cars’ headlights are on when it’s sunny either. It’s like the glare is so severe that it all runs together.

At night I have trouble seeing the roads when headlights are facing me (especially the new LED headlights) and I’ve recently experienced in my new car that has ambient interior lighting that I have to roll my windows down to be able to see the road.

I guess my question is whether this is normal or not and if there’s anything I can do about it. My eye doctor just said it’s because I have light eyes.

pat-a day works amazing but very expensive so i’ve been using bauch and laum for dry eye and allergy meds the cool cloth a great tip especially on itchy scratchy days

I can vouch for the cold compress and eye drops. I have many chronic allergies on top of seasonal so whenever my eyes start itching i either use some eye drops (i dont remember the active ingredient but its a store brand one) or ill wet a wrag, wipe my eyes, rinse the rag, and then leave it on my eyes for 5 to 10 minutes. In a pinch ill also use a paper towel instead of a rag too but rags seem to work better in my case. Just dont use toilet paper because it disintegrates on your face.

I go to a cornea specialist because I had a really severe infection he has me using lumify every day because he says I have rosacea in my eyes which causes dry eyes so that's bad because of the preservatives?
