Thank you! Lost a finger but in the process I found out the fan I thought was the problem wasn't which lead me to finding the actual problem fan and, a few more fingers later, I've resolved the issue! Was a stray cord rubbing against the fan. Ty!

these fans are harmless because they're made of plastic .i just did the same thing this guy is doing in this video and i didn't even feel any strong rotation on the fan and the noise went away like a magic trick.

Simple method:
Put PC in sleep mode for 1 minute and boom, it's fixed!

All that does for me (not sure if it works with a non-gaming pc), is that it stopped for a few seconds before getting louder and back to the way it was. So this may work with PCs with fans like that.

Fr though, if this is happening to your case fans, just buy some new fans, the bearings are probably worn down and it'll just start again and again.
