The Sound No PC Gamer Wants to Hear 😔

A few weeks ago I noticed that my NZXT PC was making a weird noise. At first I thought it must have been a loose fan screw. After tightening everything I could, the noise wouldn't go away. Turns out, the sound was air bubbles in my CPU cooler, specifically, the Kraken M22 from NZXT.

Luckily the parts were all under a 2-year warranty and NZXT sent out a new Kraken 120 no questions asked. Although my chat with support revealed something interesting...

MENTIONED PARTS:

Quick clarification: Yes, the cooler is upside down which is how NZXT had it installed when the PC was bought. This incorrect installation very likely led to it's downfall.

Grab the Kraken 120mm:

You're correct I don't want to hear pump failures so I buy air coolers.

An air cooler can never fail. Even if the fan is dead.

Cleanest loop transition I've ever seen in a YouTube Short. Impressive.

My GPU fans started sounding like this after a deep PC clean and it turned out to be the RGB cable of my GPU bracket that was in contact with the blades.

Moral of the story never get a 120mm aio 😅

Edit I made this as a joke, but okay yes there are plenty of better air cooler options out there it depends on your cpu. You have the Noctua you have deep cool and the Ak series, thermal right pa, you have so many options. The person in the video also is using a nzxt h510 case which is also known to be a hot box, I used to have one. From my experience and other videos I have seen 120mm aios aren’t great, if you’re gonna go aio 240 and up or do air cooling is all I’m saying. You can get a decently priced 240mm now a days doesn’t have to be nzxt. If anyone wants a 240 I can sell you an arctic liquid freezer 240 for like 60 bucks that I have laying around

Tip, make sure the pipes on the rad are at the bottom and the rad is higher than the pump. Everyone's killing their pumps.

I abandoned liquid and went back to air. Couldn’t be happier.

That was legitimately the smoothest loop I've ever heard

Also this could be the sound of a fan blade hitting something. Good to hear about the Kraken.
