Fun fact: there’s an easy way to tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile - one will see you later, one will see you after a while

People don't realize how dangerous leopards are. HIGHLY intelligent, insanely strong and fast, They're known for simply ambushing people and pulling them up into trees.

You know Gustav is easily one of the most terrifying and intimidating Croc's in the world when even Hippopotamus's legitimately FEAR HIM.

According to Corbett's own account, during autopsy he found that a large section of the leopard's mouth was burned out, assumed to be the result of cyanide poisoning, possibly thanks to a previous attempt by some other hunter to kill the animal. Which only led to the demise of more civilians. It took Corbett seven years to hunt the animal, and he blamed himself for not managing to kill it on his first attempt several years ago, so that he could've saved at least 100+ kills in the years between.
But yeah, the animal became addicted to human flesh due to our issues. In the region where it hunted, it was massively poverty stricken back in the day, and during a cholera epidemic, people simply didn't have the money to cremate their dead. So they just threw the bodies down cliffs sticking a piece of burning coal in their mouths. These bodies clearly became the leopard's main food source.

Gustav most likely killed like, 60 people. Other crocodile related deaths around the time and area where gustav was, were just put under his name

A charging croc is just terrifying lol. A clumsy missile with teeth on stubby legs torpedoing itself is just crazy.

Jim Corbett was a great hunter. He killed many man eating Tigers including the largest tiger on record. A national park is dedicated to him known as Jim Corbett National park in India.
His book Maneaters of Kumaon makes a great reading.

I remembered watching a video about this guy who handles crocodiles so well that he can even swim with them. He once said that when it comes to feeding theses guys you shouldn't give them too much food because crocs dont know when to stop due to their lack of feeding in the wild which gave them the trait to being able to survive without food for several weeks.

I read somewhere that the specie with the most human kills is the mosquito, though it kills indirectly. But this is a list of individual beasts, who kill, not species.

I'm surprised there was no mention of the Lions of Tsavo in the video, given they (if I recall correctly) were also hunted and killed by Corbet

[Edit]

After two months, I have found out to be a dumdum: John Henry Patterson killed the Lions of Tsavo

Isn’t that bear attack on Japan the inspiration for the man eating bear Akakabuto in Ginga Gin?
Also! Zoos have a kill on site rule if a certain kind of animal escapes. Big cats and gorillas are tranquilized but chimps are kill on sight.

You have one of the best channels on YouTube and deserve 3 million or 5 million or 10 million viewers. I hope you continue doing your videos because they are the best. The research and the attention to details in your videos and the way you put together your production is impressive! Thank you so much!

Gustav is about the same size as Lolong from the Philippines but Filipinos said lolong is not the crocodile they're talking about and lolong is smaller compare to the other croc they witness and they never seen a human body remains inside of lolong the other croc was way too bigger than lolong.

Gustav probably snatched a guy delivering steroids to a gym nearby, and got juiced up 😂

Hopefully one day WATOP will add the metric system so the rest of the world can get an idea of the measurements of these animals.

The common thread is humans encroaching into the animals habitat then destroying it
