We saw wharf rats in the canals of Ft. Lauderdale that were HUGE. I kept looking to see if I was seeing things, and if they were really rats. I wasn't, and they were. Yikes.

I've seen that wolf on my way to Yellowstone and that picture does no justice. If it's the same it's about 5 feet tall on all fours and about 7 feet long. It was bigger than the elk it was dragging. Bigger than all the black bears I've seen...longer and taller but I doubt it weighed as much, I would have to say the one I saw was between 250 and 300 pounds. Doubt anyone will believe me, I could hardly believe it myself.
