A flat torque curve has as much character as a peaky curve, Tiff - just different. Like a buddy who's always ready to help vs one who occasionally meets you at the bar.

the newer ford gt has an all carbon fiber body with a v6 which has 647 horsepower and 550 torque with a electric wing and airride suspension

Sometimes it might be nice to relay the car from our eyes and not someone who has driven everything. Would the normal person smile.

Clarkson had nothing but agro with his GT didn't he? Like it not being able to start etc. A shame as it's a nice looking car and a great evolution on the original. It modernised the originals look with real respect for its predecessor (unlike some of these modern retro retellings eg the Mini and Fiat 500s that have no real link to the original) It is obvious that Ford really enjoyed making these.
