Just ordered a California Special. Not interested in taking it on the track. Ordered the Mageride though. I feel if I bought the 4 cylinder I would always regret not getting the V8.

Well, I did 6000 km in Mustang Ecoboost 2023 and I must say it's a hell of a car. Fast, it gets attention, it looks, it's great to drive and fuel consumtion is around 26-27 mpg (9-10 l/100 km). Is it slower than GT? Yes! Is it having a half of cilnders of GT? Yes! But... it's still Mustang that gives you chills everytime you enter the car and turn the engine on. ;) Love it for every highs ans lows!

I own a 2.3 hpp manual and I can assure that this car leaves no frustration...I can match 5.0's all day on drags, sometimes I win (if they are manuals as me), most of the times I lose, but it's always close and not embarrassing at all, quite the opposite BTW, ppl get impressed how powerful this mustang can be...you won't get the heavenly sound of the v8, that's true. But if u can live with that, the HPP is a perfect daily drive in my opinion. On top of that, I can endure a whole week before hitting the gas station, and I like to push it on straight lines and dragging on the lights (when it's safe, lol)...anyways, it's not a fight, it's more like choosing whats the best fit for you buck and need! They're both amazing cars and deserve respect for what the brand mustang represents. Peace yall!!

Now this guy is the type of drivers that we all need to be following on YouTube. None of these Matt Farrah, TJ Hunt, or Stradman guys. Why? Because this guy can actually DRIVE REALLY WELL!

I have a GT and enjoy the manual gearbox going 30 mph. I just like shifting through the gears and hearing the noise.

i just got my 2022 ecoboost high performance with handling package in a ten speed automatic. I absolutely love it. is all the car ill need for autocross, easier to push on a street without causing a scene, and i saved the extra 10k to get a similar trim on a v8.

The 2.3 liter HP engine is impressive but the V8 is too good to pass up, it loves revving to red line and sounds great while doing it.

That V8 is sweet, I would take that over a supra any day for the same level of track performance, and I say this as a lexus owner! Nice review!

I was o n the fence between the 2.3HP and the 5.0. I wound up ordering a 2021 GT/CS with 5.0 Happy I did. Nothing like the sound and feel of the 5.0 V8.

That's a pretty decent time from both of them. Would be interested to see how the Mach 1 goes round in comparison with all it's track focused upgrades

There is no comparison between the V8 and the Ecoboost. But I drive a mildly tuned Ecoboost, it's reasonable and fun when I need it to be. It's been said, but the concept of it being more like an s13 descendant does it more justice than comparing to V8 cars.

I would love a V8 car, but as a middle class car guy, the Ecoboost just makes a lot of sense on multiple levels.

It's amazing that the Ecoboost is only 1 to 1.5 seconds off cars far more powerful and expensive. Especially when you're talking about an RTR Mustang and RCF Track Edition. With a few boltons and some suspension mods. You could easily close that gap some if not erase it.

The 2.3l high performance eco looks very fun to drive

Great review and comparison. I own a 2016 Mustang GT in the States that I bought used, and it already had an intoxicating Roush exhaust on it, which sold me. With the right wheels and suspension setup, it holds its own in the corners pretty well too!! Definitely hard to beat for the price.

I've owned multiple Mustangs. Everything including a 2020 EcoBoost HPP, a V6, and 5.0 so I know a little about all the engine options. Have you ever heard of the Lightning Lap at Virginia International Raceway where all the manufacturers do lap times to compare them to other cars? Well the 2020 EcoBoost HPP has a faster lap time than the Mustang GT 5.0.

I'd buy both if I could. I currently have a 2016 ecoboost mustang. I love that its peppy and not as expensive. Feels like a luxury gokart with heated seats lol

Nice driving while giving good commentary. Great audio of cars during hot lap. I'm an old guy in USA and a long time Mustang fan. Kinda surprised I got such a great comparison review on them all the way from Australia. Happy to subscribe and check out more of your content.

The Answer should be... a V6 Ecoboost 3.5L Turbo. Period

Sorry but....team V8 - got one. If I want to drive a 4-cylinder Turbo I would buy a hot hatch!!! And why the press the engine start button !!!
