See how to help someone else by taking control of their computer from the comfort of your own home. It's completely free to use too. This can be very useful when someone you know are having problems with their computer. Or someone else can help you with your computer problems instead if needed.

My dad is 86 years old and lives alone. He has recently purchased a PC to help receive important VA benefit information. He is not proficient with a computer. Recently he struggled attempting to open email documents with attachments. This greatly aided me to help him by taking control over his PC allowing him to watch me as I teach him. Blessing to you my friend!!

I just got done helping my dad (75) fill out an online loan application using Mac's share my screen utility. The way it works there is through imessage you just click share my screen (with the person you are chatting with on your mac) and it automatically generates a dialogue on the other persons mac saying so-and-so wants to share his screen. Pretty easy and also built into every mac. This is just as easy though. MS has a few utilities for this but this Quick Assist seems to be the easiest, taking into light that the person you are trying to help probably would not be savvy enough to find their IP address and MS account credentials etc to do the MS Remote Assistance method. Glad MS made a quick and easy to way share screens.

fantastic vid mate. I finally understand the difference between using remote desktop and quick assist lol remote desktop is for clients within your same network and quick assist is for outside of the network

Ok I am having a problem finding a way to use remote assistance and not RDP to connect to another PC in our corporate environment without the user on the other end needing to accept the request. And WITHOUT installing any other software. We have a ridiculously strict and lengthly approval process for bringing new software into the environment so we need to use the tools available such as Remote Assistance. I am open to any ideas

What effect does Pause do for either side? Is there a way for Friend to access email or bank website and not allow Helper to see?
