Less penetration can be better though depending on the circumstances, projectiles that don’t pass through the body cause a lot more problems if you survive lol.

Yes, well, I guess I will have to get into c. And c machining so I can make ballistic tip. Air gun rounds with tungsten carbide tip that would punch through.

I was gonna say, a .45 cal airgun shoots pretty low on the fps. Some of the .30 cals ( an maybe even .35 cals ) airguns can still shoot around 1000 fps. I've seen acouple even around 1100 fps. Plus a smaller, but lighter all lead slug. Unless you can find some copper ones, or at least plated. May have a better chance penetrating that

The s45 is 300 fpe at best 223 is about 1600 fpe. A more far comparison would be 9mm hand gun. And if its a 45 cal aea challenger thats 500 fpe. A more fair comparison to that would be a 357 revolver hand gun.
