@Gaming With M71, Your barrel was proberbly slightly dark blue once, with each time you brake the barrel and you have to touch the barrel you sweat on your hands will react with the metal of the barrel, after each few times you shot you need to oil all of your metal of your gun with gun oil so it does not start rusting. you can also get the barrel out of the wood stock and unrust it with fine sandpaper and blue the iron again so the metal looks brand new. Take care of your nice gun so you still can have fun with it in 10 years :) or maybe give it to your kids later.

That was the dream rifle when I was young. Most of us had an old model 15 or if lucky an model 25. I wasn't lucky I had a low budget Feg air rifle.
