Worked better than trying to crop what I wanted out of the original.

This shows how to shorten your video, but not widen. I have a video shot vertically on an iPhone. I want to stretch it and zoom in on the middle, but nothing works. I can crop what I want, but Shotcut will not stretch the edges to fit the horizontal frame. For some reason, if it's a vertical video, Shotcut considers it has to stay vertical.
