Problem solving, including Data Structures and Algorithm, can be improved, even when doing development. For that Competitive Programming is not a must thing. In development, one can actually learn the real world applications of the data structures and algorithms . CP doesn't teach you the WHY of using any DSA, which can be learned in Development.
