People who don't live in the Great lakes region don't understand how big and deep these lakes are.

I know this is just a ghost story, but that lake is much deeper than 65 feet!

To say that the last story is just 'incredibly strange' is an understatement. 👽

Can't believe that I've lived in Michigan my whole 50yrs and I only heard little bits about this- but I'm closer to the east lake Huron side.

One time as a flight attendant, we were over Lake Michigan, GRR-ORD via Holland and straight down, we make the left after Holland, straighten out, we lost all power for about 4 seconds. Regain power and the airplane was struggling, on a clear blue day with no storms in the days prior. After that I never ran a drink service over the lake again

My ex Father-in-law ran fishing charters for 20+ years out of South Haven which is in West Michigan & in the Triangle they are discussing... I have been out on lake Michigan hundreds of times and even out to the freighter lanes on a Jet Ski... When that lake is calm, it can be glass calm... but when its angry, it can sink ships as fast as any sea... also, the Great Lakes can be nearly 2000ft deep in some places so not finding wreckage is really not that crazy... They are essentially small fresh water oceans...Cant speak to the young guy who ended up 700 miles away!

My stepdad once tried to take a trip on his sailboat across Lake Michigan from Muskegon to Milwaukee. This was in the late 90s/early 2000s. Weather was perfect. He made it half way before he had to call the Coast Guard to rescue him. He was so shaken up about it for years.

I grew up on Lake Michigan. I credit that Lake for my strong swimming skills I learned as a kid.

The great lakes are a nightmare. Their's stories about well seasoned oceanic sailors who get got in just one (1) storm in the great lakes and flat out refuse to sail on them ever again. The whole floor of the Great Lakes are riddled with shipwrecks even more so per mile than the ocean, not just the triangle. They are considered "dangerous waters" and anybody who sails on them deserves just as much respect as the Alaskan fishers get if not more.

I once heard if you take any three locations and draw a straight line to each of them, it makes a triangle!😮 spooky

The last story almost screams alien abduction. 15 months missing, then suddenly returns, winding up in a completely different part of The U.S., with no recollection of WHAT HAPPENED? I wonder: Was he checked out by physicians, to find out his state of health, and if time had stopped at all for him? If he was wearing a watch, what time was it, when he woke up in the field near his Aunt's home. All of these stories...EERIE. Mr. Aykroyd, please make appearances again on The HISTORY Channel?

It’s a freshwater inland sea. I live on lake Michigan. And most people who drown live a couple hours away. It’s beautiful and terrifying. With some knowledge, you could have a great day swimming in that lake. But read your surroundings.

I live close to Lake Ontario. Weird things happen there too. UFOs usually, flying above the Lake or flying in/out of the Lake.
