Adding Effects to Sections of Audio in Cubase | Music Production for Beginners 3

This music production for beginners video looks at adding effects to sections of audio in Cubase or another DAW. This is different to adding audio effects as inserts, which affects the whole track. In Cubase, highlight the audio event and select the direct offline processing window. You can highlight just the section of audio you want to add plug-in effects to (for example if editing vocals) and see the waveform change in real time. Adding effects to an audio event like this by using offline processing in Cubase also means you can choose whether to make the change permanent or not. It’s a great way of working for both music production and sound design.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. I want to apply an EQ to a section only. However, I don't have an option to use an EQ when I hit F7 on an event. I only get "Processes", and none of those are an EQ. Can you help me?

Why did Steinberg removed the feature from DOP where if you applied An effect to a selection range and later clicked on the entry and it would re-select the range and you would immediately see where the effect was applied to? This was possible in Cubase 9 but it seems it was removed since 10.
