I was splitting it to a new track and adding the effect...or sending it to a fx send with automation. This is much easier.

Now my question is, I do a lot of one take covers here. So when I’m finished, I apply my preset to the whole track.
But when I want to apply a different effect to certain sections of that cake, the only way that I know is to split it, drag it down to a different track and apply the desired effect to that track

Well that was easy! Now...can you do that in reverse? I have an entire track routed to a reverb track, but I want to exclude (or reduce) the amount of reverb when the singer is speaking (not singing)....is that possible? I'm trying to Google but don't know how to phrase the question.
