How to add effects to part of a track in GarageBand iOS (Automate effects)

Plug-ins and effects in GarageBand iPhone and GarageBand iPad are as awesome way to add some variety and punch to your mix, but have you ever wanted to add an effect to just one part of a track?

In this video, I show you how to add effects or plug-ins to just one part of a track, by duplicating the original track, moving part of the audio, and then adjust the settings on the second track.

Just a quick tip for the visual eq, if you double tap one of the circles it returns to its home position, ie, zero boost and original frequency. I discovered this by accident one day. I like those kind of accidents.

Question: do you know how to make it so that there’s not a random clicking in the sound where it splits? It’s a piano track rather than vocals, but there’s a distinguishable click when playing it :(

For some reason on my GB when I add a delay effect, it applies it to every other track that I’m using a delay on. For vocals and other stuff I need it to be individual effects. I have no idea why it does that, but it does and I can’t find away around it atm?
