Turn off your imessages and restart your phone... then the mms option will appear in the messages that's what worked for and I have an Iphone XR

Running iPadOS 16.5, the reset worked, but deleted at least two wifi passwords. Until I visit other locations, I won’t know if more were deleted. So this fixed my MMS failure, but the password loss is rather inconvenient.

You have to turn on data just to send MMS? Android let me do this through WiFi.

For those whom this isn't working then input correct MMS settings from your carrier.

I had wrong settings input and am sure a reset wouldn't have helped so I got correct settings and input it and it started to work - no restart of iPhone required either. It works right away.

Just buy the newest iPhone, you can manually enter an APN on it! Frustration is what Apple offers for the huge amount of money spent of a outdated brick, with "new" technologies as "Always on display" and "dynamic island". It's just sad, but it's on us.

Apple are UPDATING far to much & now failing millions of good customers, it's a fact most people are jumping ship for the best Samsung as they have put out at least 5-UPDATES in just 4-months, something is very wrong with iOS and it stinks why there's so many HELP VIDEOS ON HERE. 17.4.1 to 17.5. And now it's UPDATING YET AGAIN ALL ABOUT SECURITY, I would hate to have a brand new iPhone 15 as the amount of updates is way beyond previous iPhones it's a mess & Apple have made a complete mess of a good OS that worked great for so long until they found that many complaints. Now stuck in court still fighting Samsung makes me wonder why !!!!
