Happy Fall! To catch you up on some of my tastes in reading (so you know if you can trust my taste!), I thought I'd highlight some of my favorite reads in the past year. I've got 4 nonfiction, 1 romance, 1 historical, and 1 speculative, so--a pretty good sampling?? 😉

Here are the titles I recommend, with links to favorite local bookstores:

And don't forget I'll be hosting a LIVE this Saturday, 10/10/20 (still think that's a fun date) with Sandy Gholston to talk about THE LAST STORY OF MINA LEE. I just got to a really dramatic part and have no idea how it will end!!

Thanks for watching and supporting! 🤩❤️📚

I've just started "Station Eleven", I first heard about it a few days ago from another booktuber, a pandemic that wipes out most of civilisation called the Georgia flu... Living in Georgia (the republic not the state...) at the time of a pandemic got me interested. I'm 30% in so far. Underland sounds fascinating.

The Populist Moment sounds interesting!

Please don’t apologize for your work! Really enjoyed these subjects and their variety, and Juliet Stevenson is such a treat. Station Eleven is on my TBR for sure, but maybe after some of the current real-world disasters are in the rear view.

Okay. You got me. Populist Moment is in my cart. I’m going to shoot for December to read it or January when it will match up with my history reading. And if you’ve never heard me gush repeatedly about Juliet Stevenson lucky you because I’m like a sickening fan girl right now!!! I’m listening to her version of Daniel Deronda now!!!🤓🤣💕

I just read a Mimi Mathews book ten days ago and really liked it. I will check this series too 🤗

Here’s to making this a thing :D And oh lordy, it’s easy to worry about books not living to the hype. Underland sounds actually pretty cool. And hey, rambly can be good :D. Lol your annotations are book length worthy. The Populist Moment sounds unfortunately relevant. That movie scene was pretty random but funny btw

I love the movie Bend It Like Beckham too and I don't even like soccer.
