Cooking between gas, charcoal or this wood fire type grill should have the same results.
What is different is the difficulty of the setup and how much fun it is for charcoal... and this one pushes to the extreme.
Only issue I see is too much heat cooks the food more than what the absorbed heat does from the grill, so I wouldn’t expect to have griddle marks on the food. It should be more difficult than regular charcoal grill, and of course than a gas one.
The ventilation to cut smoke from the fire seem quite interesting.
