When I was a kid my uncle found one on a trip while on the road and gave it to me (even tho I have arachnophobia).
My dad convinced me somehow to hold it every now and then when he was there (couldn't gather the courage to do it while alone) and it was awesome. To know such an scary creature would do me no harm was something out of the world.

I saved a tarantula at petco once. It was loose and just chilling down the center of an aisle. We thought it was fake lol but when i blew on it, it shuddered a bit but still didn't run away.

My gf got an employee, they caught it with a cup, and then told us they lost that spider MONTHS ago.

And we didn't even get a thank you lmao 🤣 damn spider was like $140. You're welcome! Lmao

This is a Mexican Red Knee, and this type of Tarantula can only be seen at Mexico. But this Tarantula is not venomous, In addition the Mexican Red Knee bite is just a bee sting.
