I think everyone should start on acoustic because it builds strength and dexterity. Acoustic is harder to play but once you start learning and get an electric, playing the electric will feel so much more effortless.

And don’t be deterred because your fingers hurt or it doesn’t sound right. Your fingers will get used to it that’s just how it is. And gotta get your finger strength up. A lot of people can’t even fully press down on a fret when they start. It’s gonna sound buzzy, it’s gonna hurt your fingers and you WILL get pissed off and feel like it isn’t working. And once you get a riff or chord or song down, keep playing it. Don’t just nail it once and move on, master it. And play with the song. I found myself mixing up entire songs early on because I would just jam and not play the song or backing track. Keep time

Maybe put a chord progression chart on the box? Maybe some scale patterns and basics. Like a poster on the back of the box?

I think the last chord is listed wrong finger wise. You have “1” on the G string when I think it should be “3”

That's quite possibly the most boring place to start. Look up a song you like and go from there. It may be harder but the payoff is much more worth it.

And then put the Capo on 7th fret and watch a video of how to play Jethro Tull cheap day return.. or try tuning your guitar.D A D A A D. And experiment was playing octaves and stuff
