Rethinking chatbot conversations with the chronically ill - In her talk, Theresa will outline the current state of conversational agents in digital healthcare from an academic perspective with a strong angle on business applications. She will give insights into what is currently possible and what remains wishful thinking of the future. In addition, she will give specific insights into the latest findings of her work at ETH (CH) and her current research projects in collaboration with MIT (US).

Short bio
Dr. Schachner is an expert in digital health, conversational agents/chatbots, and business applications thereof that integrate AI. She is also a regular speaker on that subject. In her research at ETH Zurich and the Centre for Digital Health Interventions (CDHI), she focuses on the interaction of chatbots and humans as well as on smartphone-based real-life applications of digital health interventions and biomarkers. She is currently collaborating with the MIT Media Lab in Boston on the topic of radical health interventions using conversational agents in gaming and social influencer settings.
Besides her academic work, she is an avid speaker and gives lectures, keynotes, and presentations for both academic as well as business-oriented audiences.
