Have you tried NVRam reset? Do it couple of times and Bluetooth will work after that. Also you need to run post install script.

It might be good if it runs on the OCLP Big Sur since it supports the graphic accelerations better than Sonoma.

I've a machine of the same spec and find Ventura runs pretty well on it. Heard mixed reports on Sonoma so I'm going to stick where I am for a while i think

Early 2011 15" MacBook Pro
2 GHz, 16gb ram, 512ssd

OCL Ver. 1.5.0
(Current as of June 23, 2024.

I've upgraded from El Capiton, all the way to Sonoma, a few times just to verify & here's what I can tell you. After macOS Monterey (Ventura and above), the performance is horrible. It works but it's choppy/laggy. Wallpapers won't want to show, and it's just not worth keeping just to say you have the latest OS running.

I went back to Monterey and it's flawless!

i'm curious on how the macbook itself handles workloads as last time i ran ventura on my 2011 macbook pro it kept getting to 100c when doing anything

Amazing to see. Just curious if you tried Monterey? I have Mac 17inch 2011 running Mojave. It’s been stable patcher version. I found Catalina buggy. But I have high sierra dual booted for issues. I got Monterey working but then it stopped working when I tried installing it to the internal drive. But so far Mojave has been good. I notice the video playback sometimes affected by the browser or if you use the on board graphics or not

Nice. Thanks for testing it out. Just wondering if the AMD GPU issue for 2011 mbp still present on Sonoma asumming it dosen't have amd support anymore. In my case I disabled descret gpu via software and on High Sierra it runs great.

I have a Mac Book 2011 8.2, I installed Sonoma and I had a Bluetooth problem, so I went into the terminal and used these 2 commands:

sudo nvram

sudo nvram

I restarted and I'm using my Bluetooth headphones
