This is my favorite Beach House album! It sounds like Fantano totally missed the whole point of this album. This album is loaded with transcendence, bittersweetness, and melancholy. It’s a gorgeous flow of an album.

Last night I spent two hours just listening to PPP. It overwhelmed me, it's that beautiful IMO. A lot of reviewers expect "progression" and change from musical artists, but I'm fine either way. If the songs are good, that's all I really care about. I've really connected with Depression Cherry so far. Couldn't be more pleased.

the ending on PPP was great. I am sorry you could not see it. I think your doubts with beach house stem from the assumption that every new album should be 'completely original' from the previous one. This doubt is a product of our culture in which we obsess with being different and unique. My assumption is that progress is slow and takes much effort with great leaps only here and there. The atmosphere created in beach house is distinct from their previous albums. the sound is purer, very transcendental. It is very interesting to me that they chose this color for their album. I have been resonating with this frequency for a while now, such a beautiful hue. I am reminded of the quote by Feynman, 'The universe is in a glass of wine'. Maybe it is the color of the blood that courses through these veins, the universe. Anyone else see the real deepness of this color as well?

It's weird how part of the perception of this album is dependent on the how familiar you are with beach house's sound. I almost feel privileged over the fact that this was my first BH album

Can I just say HOW LONG I've been waiting for this album to drop?! And its fucking gorgeous. It might be just me but I really love their use of 'old' or 'used' bits in this album, its like getting all the nostalgia of experiences on their older albums put into a new light. I am in love with Beyond Love at this point... *repeat* *repeat* *repeat*
