Thank you so much for the information. I am a Giant Brain aneurysm survivor. In May 2020 I suffered a Giant brain aneurysm, 33mm. I had emergency coiling which saved my life. It has been almost two years now and I feel mostly recovered. I still struggle with Neuro Fatigue and have gained about 30 lbs which I’m working on through exercise. I am an airline pilot by trade. 30 years flying for a major airline mostly international Europe and South America. The FAA has a two year mandatory wait from time of aneurysm to be able to reapply for clearance to fly. All my doctors are confident in my ability to return to work. I’ve taken numerous cognitive tests and done well an all of them. They were administered by MAYO Clinic in Jacksonville by Neurologist Dr. Servin. God willing I get back in the air it might help others to study my cognitive recovery.

I had a stroke and aneurysm and it took me a long time to figure reality from self induced reality, my words were slurred even tho I knew what I'm saying, I'm still on a long road but I'm doing great now! Never give up!

I had three aneurysms and had them clipped in February of 2019 and I have and still do suffer from memory loss. I also have problems with pronouncing some words at times. Sometimes I know what I want to say but it comes out totally different. I suffered from headaches for a year and a half all day every day it was horrible. I can't do some things that I use to do but I do the best that I can.Today I'm just thankful to be alive and learned to accept that the person that went in for surgery is not the same person that came out.

I am a survivor of 6 brain aneurysms in 2022. Craniotomy performed and clipped aneurysms. Now I have 4 in my abdomen. 1-Splenic artery, 1-Gastroduodenal, 2 Hepatic and Celiac Artery ligament compression at 70%. Why do I have so many aneurysms? No family history at all. I’d appreciate a response and if I need surgery for my Celiac Artery compression surgery. I’m down to 94lbs, was 155lbs, constantly in stomach pain when I eat, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, gas.

When I suffered a SAH in 1993...
my family had very little help...
I just 'enjoyed' the time off from work. Returned 3½ months later...
only to be told I had to take a 'two week' vacation. So I went to Denmark and Germany by myself.

This helps me so so much, I had an open craniotomy surgery last year October due to 2 blood clots on the brain n suffered an aneurysm, I cn also agree with u, that I have memory loss most of the time, I forget things just like that n my personality changed drastically aswell as my balance co ordernation, , , bt I'm learning ways how to cope n live with it, , I was 33 at the time, I'm 34 now n I'm just very patient n taking bby steps, n also adjusting to me new life

Thank you yes useful information!! I am a rupture aneurysm survivor, over six months! Out of the blue, middle of the night, symptoms hit me hard. Er diagnosis was one rupture and 2 un ruptured aneurysms! Are flight to Ft Worth hospital, and immediate coiling saved my life. Yes I had paralysis rx side that resolved within days! Love the mind diet information. I regularly exercise on a total gym frequently plus have followed the nutrition menu for several months. Have any of your physicians leading this research, noted about biofeed therapy? I have been getting biofeed therapy for four monthand discussed the benefit I see with my internal medicine physician! Feeling great at 71: 95% back to normal life

I became a star in hiding my handicaps since I had a aneurysm rupture. The left me for five days. My ex and my doctor both let me down and shrug their shoulders. What I found out is that no one cares and better shut up about it and do my best to survive till death comes to take me.

I was very surprised that endovascular coiling leads to more cognitive problems than the craniotomy clipping. Helpful information to make a decision. Thanks BAF.

Specifically, Why does Endovascular Procedures affect memory more than coiling? It seems it would be safer procedure.

I had suffered a 17mm SAH rupture clipping and got sent home with a prescription for 5 valium...and I probably threw 3 of them away.

Hello I had a ruptured aneurysm in 2017 which caused a bleed on my brain. I was 40 at the time and I had a cooling which saved my life. It has been 6 years and my manoeuvres Ferdinand my moods. I am still splattered and sleep a lot and I still get pains I. y head which worries me. I still get spasms I. My legs and I struggle to walk becAuse I have terrible pain in the bottom of my back. Not sure if that is relAted but I was ok till after thathappened. Has anyone else had that?

Unruptured vascular aneurism can almost make the same effect as ruptured aneurysm, especially if it is located on the brain stem (pressure almost the same) and some times makes leg shivering. Is it possible to make endovascular bypass tube (inside the artery)to insulate aneurysm area, to make it shrink and possibly become normal again?
