To EVERYONE who complains about it having the amazon eco system & not standard android... this is EASILY fixed using fire toolbox software. Connect your fire tablet to a PC via usb... run toolbox on it, and rip all the ads, bloatware, & even get rid of spying alexa & now you have an amazing fully functional android tablet / mini laptop that performs amazing for the incredibly cheap price. So this does split screen in portrait mode? 4:08 Maybe all Android devices do. Have never understood why I can’t do that on my iPad. I just want to be able to watch a show in “landscape” across the top of the screen while using another app below.

I purchased the 128 GB version on Prime Day for €199 plus the keyboard and I'm suprer impressed what you get for the money..I can definitely recommend it especially for that price.

This was offered for a great price in Amazon Prime day so i thought I'd give it a whirl. I'm glad I did. It's a great tablet. Very fast and responsive. Screen is bright and crisp. I have an iPad Pro and this does not feel like a huge downgrade. Is an awesome device. Just don't try to compare it to an iPad.

Love my Fire HD 10 for the price I paid it gets the job done. Won't be getting this though as Amazon dropped the ball on this one they gave it a way more powerful CPU but then handicapped it by giving it 4GB ram which will make it laggy.

Hello, my name is Mckesnie. I am blind. Anyway, would you happen to know what the VoiceView screen reader keyboard commands are. I know how to use VoiceView with the touch screen and gestures, but I've never used it with a keyboard. It's nice that it also has stylus support, but since I'm blind, I won't be needing that. I've really really been listening to videos on thia thing and I am really hoping to get this thing! It's also good that this tablet also has good support with skype and accessibility. I think this will definitely be something I can huse, especially becaus now I can use VoiceView with the keyboard. Previously, when i used to have to use a fire HD 10, the typing experience was terrible! I absolutely positively hate on screen virtual qwerty keyboards! Absolutely hate them! And also dictation on there is a piece of trash! I already know how to type on physical keyboards, so I don't need to go thru the A, S, D F G, H J, K L, etc keys. As well as the arrow keys, because I use a screen reader. But how do you think this thing would be with VoiceView and is the keyboard support with VoiceView even any good? I know, you may not have used the accissibility features before, so I'm goong to help you out with this. The way you would turn VoiceView on is with 3 clicks of the power button. Also a tip for any blind viewers who may be watching this. Anyway, I hope you can give me answers when you can, I'm not gonna rush you.

For 230 bucks, I think it could be a smart option with all the specs it contains. Good camera support and I think Amazon used a good Mediatek chip.

How does the Max 11 compare to the 10 Plus and can you still side load the Play Store?

Amazon will no doubt offer discounts as early as Black Friday (maybe even on the next Amazon Prime Day which is next month) You'll be able to buy this for $200 soon enough. I have one concern as an owner of the HD 10. How long will it run smoothly? From my experience Amazon tablets start slowing down and become leggy after a few months of use (especially if you sideload Google Play)

Had fire tablets for several years but finally got feed up with Amazon stuff being constantly bombarded on me so went with a neutral Lenovo brand instead

I miss the old Fire HDX series. I would love another smaller sized tablet (like Ipod Mini size) but with Android and one that doesn't compromise on power or screen resolution like the previous HD series do. Not everyone wants a giant slab to carry around
