I don’t own a Ford or a truck, but I watched the whole video. Marc, you have a knack for making any subject interesting.

As a truck driver myself thank you for saying to be quick at truck stops.

Love the blinker fluid bit. How the guy outside kept a straight face while talking about making his own blinker fluid was awesome 😎

Love the air horn!
Being a professional railroader, some my coworkers and I feel that train horns should be illegal. Those that have them think it’s cute to honk them near railroaders working. If we’re working it scares the crap out of us thinking there’s a train approaching and we could injure ourselves getting away from the tracks.

I just bought an f350 and used the forescan to mod my truck. I love the ability to do some small things to make it more convenient for me as well as personalize it slightly. I turned off the double honk feature when left running, but I also enabled the secure idle so it can’t be taken out of park without a key inside the truck. I leave mine running allot with out locking the doors. It ads a LITTLE bit of security by not allowing it to be moved.

The airhorns are the best feature of my coach and have saved my butt many times but scare the heck out of people in tiny little cars who don’t give you any room on the road. Thomyt

The area for the key, is used to read the key if the battery in the fob dies. After using the emergency blade key in the fob to enter the truck, you place the key in the the hidden spot, which energizes the key so the vehicle can read the key and start the vehicle.

I'm a truck driver. Thanks so much for the truck stop advice to the public! Most non commercial drivers don't understand. Great video just got my 250 and loving it!

The F-450 is how I found your channel. I was searching for the SuperDuty F-450 on youtube last year, and your videos showed up. I've been glued to this channel, since then. ✌ Have a Happy New Year.

Very interesting video on the truck mods. The comment at the end about you don’t have to spend $150, 000 on a truck and camper to enjoy camping. We have an older truck and camper. We still have just as much fun as everyone else.

One of the best video's to date. I have had numerous Ford trucks over the years and had no idea about the exterior lock keypad items you showed. The last 20+ years I have bought 4x4's for boondocking and not having to worry about getting stuck (within reason). I have only used it a couple of times but saved a long walk to get cell service to call a tow truck and a $600-$800 tow bill. I was able to stay camped while it was snowing a few times as well .

That deep console compartment also serves a nice place to keep your peacemaker too as well. 👍

Thank you for stressing the fact that if you fuel at truck stops, not to “dilly dally”. I’m a truck driver and there is nothing more frustrating then trying to fuel when people are parked at the pumps, and not pumping fuel

Those safes are also made by a company called Console Vaults. I have one in my F-150 and love it!

I’ve gotten to the point that if Caleb is in frame I’m looking at his face, no matter who is talking. That kid cracks me up.

10 speed is awesome. I got the 7.3 gas and 4.30 gears in my 2020 350 long bed. Towing 38ft travel trailer and golf cart in the bed of the truck. Its a beast of a truck and it just sounds amazing when you hit a big grade and it drops down a gear or two. Couldn't be happier, it's an awesome machine.

We are especially considerate when fueling our class A diesel pusher at truck stops, and are always as expeditious as we can be, but we sometimes find that the truckers in front of us in the lanes are less so. They will pull up to the pumps and leave their vehicle for several minutes (we've experienced up to a half hour), return to their truck, pump their fuel (which takes a long time because they're pumping 200 gallons or more), then pull forward and stop, as is the common courtesy at truck stops, then leave their truck again to go inside, and return to their truck and leave after another 15-20 minutes. It's almost as if they're doing it because they have an RV behind them in the lane. The problem is, there are always trucks in the same lane behind us.

Who on earth thought it was a good idea to name something Forscan?

Marc, I am obsessed with horn. You might say I’m a little, ... well you know. I was a full time motorcyclist 1999 - 2010. It was my full time 4 season vehicle. For that reason I put a air horn on my bike; a 1999 Honda Valkyrie. Motorcycles disappear in traffic and it’s needed to get peoples attention.

My approach to purchasing the 2016 F250 was the same as yours. They were discounted heavily when the 2017 aluminum body trucks were coming out. Plus most of the bugs are worked out since it is the end of the run. It came with the 3.55 gears. I only buy 4x4, we get snow and ice where I live and I like to explore once I disconnect the trailer. Made some of the mods you have shown except for air compressor/air horn. LED lights on the rear were one of the first, so nice to be able to see when backing at night. ECU updates were 6 flashes for blinker, 50 gal fuel tank, DPF percent and fogs while on high beam. Manual regen with my generation of F250 needs to be done with laptop. I think the earlier years that are XL or XLT can be done manually. Wish I could read DEF level, but it will tell you when you are below 1/2 full and when you have 500 miles left. If anyone needs the spreadsheet of changes for 2011 to 2016 I have it. Oh, don't forget the chrome muffler bearing, that's a cool mod. :-), Forgot to add that just ordered the full card a few days ago, ref KYD
