The Punic Class Supercarrier was the best human warship during the Human-Covenant War. Like the Infinity, it was armed with multiple super mac cannons, underslung capital ships, and a whole lot of alien killing power.

The Punic class carrier is such an amazing vessel. A shame so few were made and so much lost during the war. To be one of the few UNSC ships to stand up against Covenant vessels of similar size and hold its own no less is quite an astonishing feat in and of itself.

The Punic was such a good ship and surprisingly not as well known so it’s great that you’re giving it the recognition it deserves.
As for lore for another ship how about the Cylon base star or perhaps the Battlestar Galactica or Pegasus

Please cover the Valiant Class From Halo, of the 3 war time UNSC Cruisers (other two being Halcyon and Marathon), the Valiant seems to get less love then it should being that it's a borderline Battleship

The CMA was not a precursor to the UNSC. Pre-Insurrection, It was a parallel organization focusing on supporting outer colonies while the UNSC focused on the inner colonies. They had their own marines, navy, and command structure (to a point). During the Insurrection many rebel sympathizers could be found in the CMA and so nearly all of its assets were seized by the UNSC prior to the Human-Covenant war.

The canon Punic design is from Halo Fleet Battles by the late Spartan Games. I also prefer Sins of the Prophets' model as well, though.

Tabletop Punic is a monster killer but a huge sink of resources that falls apart once you take out the forward MACs. Its ability to service nearby small units is nice, though.

Assuming they still had at least one left by the battle of Reach, I feel like that might have been a better ship to go with for Operation Red Flag. Not sure if it had the honeycomb structure that the Pillar of Autumn had, but having two super-MAC's and the ability to carry a small escort fleet might have been more successful than a single modified Halcyon class cruiser. But, we'll never know... damn Covies

The Punic, Epoch and the Paris class are generally my favorite ship classes in Halo thus far.

Woah woah woah. Great video as always eck but the Colonial Military Authority is a completely independent military branch from the UNSC. No idea why, but if you read the Halo short story Dirt (no seriously, that's what its called) in the Halo Evolutions collection, it clearly states that the CMA and the UNSC are independent from each other. The latter, assimilating the former shortly after Harvest fell. Also, the UNSC was formed in the 22nd century at the time of the interplanetary wars. Little nitpick but as a halo nerd I couldn't let this slide.

I simply love the Punic and I frankly would love to see more information on them. Currently I'm working on a fan-story with the focus on a refitted Punic brought up to the current UNSC standard, as she and her crew try to survive and avoid the Created, carries on looking for any other UNSC forces to link up with set to take place in the two year span from Halo 5 to Infinite.
