We have plenty food to get us through at least a year. We have 2 fresh water springs on our property, so I think we have an unlimited water supply. I’ve recently spend 2 months building a small solar power system. It’s only 4 100 watt panels and 2 100 ah batteries but it’s meant to keep our dc frig running, lights, and a few other things like my mom’s O2 machine. So, we’re now just adding to each category as long as time and money holds out.

Chris, I can't thank you enough for all the information you give us. The reports from different news sources are great. Thank you so much

I definitely agree with all of these points. Cybersecurity is going to be one of the most important things that people need to start preparing for. Especially when so much is tied to it these days.

Stay safe out there.

Great content. Will change all passwords right away. Discovering where the gaps are in our preps and especially our cyber security are is invaluable. Bless you and thank you so much for these videos, they really are a lifeline. Xxx❤❤❤

Don't forget to pick up manual tools, especially for the kitchen, graters, whisks, grinders, all metal pots with no plastic handles in case you have to cook over an open fire.I could go on and on. There's tons of these things cheap on ebay. Too many people are used to everything electric and automatic. Save any laundry detergent bottles with a spigot. you can put the spigot over your sink or on top of 2 cinder blocks with a bowl underneath to wash your hands, rinse dishes etc. - I have some with soap already in the water just for hand washing outside while working on the garden.I am off grid by force after eviction but it's a good idea for anyone in a home to shut off the electric brakers for at least a week, so you know what you'll need if the power goes out.

I am in the middle of the desert! Water, where do you put it when you live in 1000 square-foot home? How do I put all this water. Believe it or not bottled water take up less room than gallon jugs!! I think I will go to sleep. I’m a little overloaded!

After working in cyber security with the Government for years, I was surprised at how infrastructure systems still ran on Windows 95.

3:00 updating doesn't really matter so much as moving off of microsoft windows. closed source software cannot be secure. I recommend Debian, fedora, or opensuse.

I am struggling to get my family to understand why I have been building collections of needed items including food and water, however, my wife sees it as extra and gives it away often. I have to hide some materals to avoid the why do we need so much and then have to get berated with "Oh that could never happen" and get scoffed at. Ugh, the struggle is real. I am looking at water filtering now, but am hard-pressed to decide on what direction to go. I have individual life straws, but for a hunker-down situation, I want more beyond boiled water jugs and casks.

They've been warning us for years at this point. I think it's getting closer though especially with the escalating conflicts today

We will never know how unprepared we are until we aren’t.

You ought to look into building a wood gasifier and a diesel distiller (plastics can be distilled into diesel). A wood gasifier can run a generator. A diesel still can keep you fueled up if you have an oil furnace, diesel vehicle, or diesel generator....

Time is of the essence.

I think the most vulnerable "system, " to a cyber attack is the human system. We are so divided and immersed in our own misinformation streams, that when the SHTF everyone is going to be too busy trying to blame someone to do anything useful. The most important thing of all is that we know who's fault this all is...

The most vulnerable "system" I see is the community. The way that people are being pitted against one another and focusing on stupid things as opposed to forming into a cohesive country that will recognize where the real threats are and work together to safeguard against them. And look out for one another. There is no survival in a dog eat dog world. Part of that looking out for one another includes being aware of over reliance on technologies and putting in alternative mechanisms that can be operated outside of the grid.

I'm actually taking my Cyber fraud class this semester as a part of my CSI career. In regards of the energy part, I have a 2.5 kw inverter with 4 batteries that my mom brought from the Dominican Republic after hurricane María. Also I have a power generator which works with gasoline or gas. Now I'm trying to get solar panels because also bought a power bank that can be charged this way too. I always keep extra combustible for these to work. I'm leaning towards the water collection and storage and, of course gardening!

Last weekend I down loaded and PRINTED on paper, copies of all my most important documents: property titles, insurance policies going back 7 years, bank statements, health data, tax statements for 7 years, pet records, all my contact details and my ancestry data. I printed off copies of all my qualifications, educational data, Resume, as well as evidence of all the roles.

I down loaded all of my photos and made copies of the above and stored to muiltiple memory sticks which I’ve put in an antique steel box.

In my go bag I have memory sticks, hard copies in water proof plastic laminate pouches as well as the usual go clothes and supplies. I’m thinking EMP / cyber attack, but also the biggest risk for me is Tsunami as I live on the Beach in New Zealand 🇳🇿

Always carry cash! Last weekend I had an online account hacked and they wiped out my bank account. Fortunately my banks fraud department caught it. I am now without money in my account to pay bills until it’s resolved. The worst part was we were out of town on a weekend trip. I was smart enough to carry cash with me for an emergency so I was not too inconvenienced, plus I had a credit card on me. ALWAYS carry some cash. Enough to get home if you are traveling.
