why i love the M1 MacBook Air (2020)

The New M1 MacBook Air is easily the best Apple laptop for under $1000. The performance out of the base model MacBook Air, Pro and Mac mini can easily beat out my $4000 16-inch MacBook Pro that I bought a few months ago and that's really sad to hear and see for myself. Even though this is a good sign, I'm glad I waited for something new! Unfortunately I will not get this year's M1 macbook pros. I am using my 2015 15in MacBook pro and still works amazing! I do plan on upgrading next year looking forward to redesign 14in macbook pro, maybe a M2 chip, and mini LED display.

I know it’s pretty incredible. I torture tested mine by cutting a 35min video in 10 bit hdr with many transitions and colour grades in fcpx. I even added a 5 min dual cam sync clip and pip. It started to stutter a little bit - native footage, not proxy or optimized- but damn, it still ran pretty smoothly overall. Oh, i had garageband open with a 43 track song at the same time, with a video on the sync line as well. I did this all on battery power, worked on it for over 7 hours. When video was done rendering I had 32 percent charge left. This is the base model air with 8gb ram. Absolutely unprecedented. I’m definitely keeping mine!

I wish that in Europe Apple Macbook Air is more cheaper, but here buying Macbook means braking a bank. Base model M1 8GB RAM with 256GB HD is 1520$ in Croatia. It's cheaper in Austria, you can get it for 150$ less, bit still 400$ expensier then in US...
