If you tell me 10 years ago that an iPhone will be more expensive than a Macbook, I won't believe you.

I completely agree with everything in this video. I bought one of these with 1 TB of storage and 16 gb of RAM and it smoked my $3000+ 16" Intel Macbook Pro. No overheating, no choking because I had a multiple tabs open in Chrome, much better battery life and Final Cut Pro runs like a dream on it. You can literally edit 4K video for a Canon R5 without proxies on these. It's still a killer machine to this day. But there are *still* people out there who own Macs who don't really know about the huge chasm in capabilities between the Mac silicon machines and Intel...

Watching this from an M1 MacBook Air and I couldn't agree more. Not a single second of regret. I'm planning to buy another unit.

I owned this laptop for 3 years, bought it at the premiere and was always extremely pleased with it, absolutely no problems, no freezes, no blue screens. Great machine, always on the road somewhere, on business trips, minimum weight, minimum problems. Great machine, and sold it for almost the same money for which I bought it, bought it for about 1, 000 dollars and sold it for about 800 3 years later!

Got my base model M1 Air for $400 from a friend as a travel laptop. It pretty much replaced my 16" M1 Pro machine entirely because it's way easier to travel with, but handles everything I do just as well, including my light 3D modeling and game design work. I totally gaslit myself into thinking I needed a Pro notebook. RIP my $2500

Whilst not a macbook, my M1 Mac Mini still feels like a supercomputer from the future. Granted I upgraded from a 2010 mid tier iMac, and this is my first computer with an SSD, that surely is a big thing in itself. But for light productive work and media consumption this thing is a beast and will continue to be for years to come.

I've had my M1 Air for a year now, and I love it. Upgraded from a 2015-era MBP and didn't skip a beat in the transition. This thing is amazing. Picked it up at Costco, just the base model 256GB/8GB. Everything said in this video is spot on, this is just an all-purpose machine for everybody. I'm so happy I bypassed all the late-model Intel junk since 2015.

M1 MBA was my first Mac, I still use it everyday although have a MBP 16 M2 Pro. I really love how slick and light the macbook air is

I remember when you could only find 11 inch macbook airs for 300, and the regular air for 600. I think Apple is doing well in their quest to no longer be the unreasonably overpriced option.

Watching this on my base model M1 air. I use it for basically everything 8-10 hours every day. For work, for personal things, editing photos and videos (family stuff only, nothing serious). Got it on the first day when it's released, best deal of my life :) I also prefer the "old" design better than the new M2 with the notch.

I have the 16gb ram + 256gb SSD version of the M1 MBA. It's been amazing. I connect it to my 1440p monitor and it works like a Desktop computer whenever I want it to with the Macbook closed in clam-shell mode.

I would say the M1 Pro MacBook Pro is still a beast too! I’ve used it more and more lately especially for Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls. The camera quality is still amazing and mics are spot on. Still pretty damn fast.

Another criteria to consider, the repairability: The M1 MBA is also the last one where you can easily replace the screen by yourself for cheap because it does not require any recalibration or component pairing like the MBPro line (also true for the M2 Air). The battery is also fairly easy to replace.

I just love my base model M1 Macbook air. Hardcore Windows user since Win 3.0, but when my wife's 6th Windows laptop died, I took a chance and bought her a Macbook M1 for her Birthday. She was happy, but a bit sceptic for a start, being a Windows user and all, but after a week, she was just sold....and two months after, I happened to stumble over a nice bargain for one and I bought it for myself. Best laptop EVER!!!

I bought the M1 MBA with 16gb of RAM and the 512 SSD this week. Loving it so far. Never had an Apple computer before, but the integration with iPhone was something that I really wanted.

Watching on my 2020 M1 MBA. I actually traded my entire gaming tower for it. I didnt game much anymore, and I knew that this thing was a beast of a laptop. Been a little over a month and I have absolutely no regrets. I love this machine...

I’m still rocking my m1 air with 16gb ram and 512gb drive. It’s my main machine for everything; software development, business, etc.
I do plan on upgrading to the m3 air.
