Bought the Lexus TX350 Luxury because of the better 3rd row. We have the 2nd row captains chairs as well. We’ve owned a 2013 CX9, 2016 MDX, 2017 Tahoe, 2021 Suburban and now this TX and it’s the first time my kids fight over who sits in the 3rd row because it’s so comfortable. They have reclining seats, their own A/C vents, cup holders, phone charger. Leather seats comfortable for long road trips and no complaints. It drives like a small vehicle and has minimal body roll. Engine is fine especially in sport mode. We got 28 MPG on the road trip. Great purchase.

If you don’t care about driving get the Lexus and if you want to have fun/enjoy while driving to work, store, home etc get the Acura. I have a 2022 Acura MDX a spec in blue with red interior and I love driving it everyday! I drove a Lexus Rx and it’s boring lol it’s not for me! But everyone have different opinions. Good luck!

I'm just curious, why do you consider bigger wheels to be a plus? The tires cost more, the wheels are more prone to damage (and cost more to replace), and the ride can be harsher with the larger wheels. Finally, bigger wheels are heavier than smaller ones, adding to unsprung weight, reducing handling ability (not that that matters too much on these SUVs.)

I think the TX would be a better seller if it had a V6, I'm not paying $67k for a turbo charged 4 cyl, when I can get a smoother, more reliable and powerful v6 which is tried and true for a lower price, and the MDX is sexier, and it handles better, and I can get a type s with more power if needed. It's basically a nicer grand highlander

Great comparison. Thank you guys! I much prefer the Acura styling and V6 engine over the Lexus TX. However, when I do make my purchase it will be for the Acura MDX Type S instead of the Acura MDX.

Hello gentlemen. Good comparison video between the 2024 Acura MDX and the 2024 Lexus TX 350. We were all waiting patiently for this comparison video and it took place. What really stand out for the TX was the overall space. That's what helped it. As for the MDX, that's good Acura still stood firm on solid ground by staying with the V6 engine. I would rather hear the sound from a V6 engine than from a 4 cylinder engine. In upcoming comparison videos it would be nice to see either one of these two vehicles go up against the Infiniti QX60 in the Autograph trim, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L in the Summit Reserve trim and the Audi Q7 in the Prestige trim. BMW with the X5, Mercedes with the GLE and Genesis with the GV80 would've been good competitors for either one of these two vehicles, but the only issue is that they only have the third row seating as an option and it's not standard.

I shall prefer MDX over TX. MDX feels more refined. Only reason to consider TX is hybrid option. With that, price differential is bigger. MDX second row is more versatile. Hybrid TX only offers 6 seats. The biggest reason however is more local. I despise business ethics (or lack of) local dealership.

I’ve been viewing your reviews for quite some time and I Love them. You guys do an amazing job. My only qualm is when testing the audio. We would get a much better idea of how the audio systems sound if you use the same music track in both vehicles when doing comparisons. Using two different audio files doesn’t provide the same feedback or sound.

Thanks for listening and keep up the great reviews.

I still much prefer how the Acura drives, the better looks, a reliable V6 powertrain, and more than enough space. It also doesn’t feel like a glorified pilot unlike the TX and Grand Highlander.

MDX definitely is the better looking vehicle. I haven't driven the TX, but the MDX gives a good driving experience. Among the cars I have driven (Defender, X5, MDX, RX, XC 90), only the Defender and X5 felt better (in terms of driving experience). Additionally, the MDX has been around for a while now and that certainly gives it an edge.

The TX does offer two additional powertrains. The 500H FSport Performance and the 550h+ which does have a V6 engine paired to a battery pack.

I've had my TX for a month and I am loving it. I was amazed that the 2.4 turbo could perform like it does. The only issue is the limited color range.

Nice review again. I love my 2023 mdx type S and don't regret even with your score and its a bit unfair because mdx is few years older and easier for someone to find things to improve with something newer. As for sound systems that is subjective like style and design. I have no issues with my mdx and probably far more fun to drive and my younger nephews and nieces have no problem in the back. Middle row okay for my 17 years old son at 6ft 5in which he also prefer back of our Integra on 7 hours road trip instead of our 2020 2.0T Accord which has more room and barely fit in back of our Ridgeline trucks.

I drove them both and THE MDX WAS MY CHOICE. I did not like the TX 4 banger engine, and it looks like a school bus. The MDX performs much better, design is much nicer, it has a richer interior, and is quieter. I like the 10 speed transmission and the smooth V-6 engine. I like the touch pad infotainment interface. The MDX was completely redesigned in 2022, so it is still fresh. I have owned it for a few thousand miles, and it is spectacular. Typical Acura quality and comfort.

Once again a great video I enjoyed! I personally prefer the MDX as it has a V6 and I’m not a fan of the TX having a 4 cylinder (same reason why I don’t like the XC90 plus I dislike the seats in that SUV). Both SUVs are incredible and are most definitely at the top of the segment though (other than maybe a BMW X7 but that’s also quite a bit more expensive and I found it to be cramped when I sat in one + the X7 seats are good but they are no where near great). I would not take a X7 on a long road trip personally. The Mazda CX90 is also a great option but I feel like that focuses more on being sporty/fun while the MDX and TX prioritize luxury 1st (all great choices though). To be fair you can get the MDX Type-S but with those low-profile tires that go flat easily I’m personally going to have to refuse. My personal pick in the segment would either be a normal MDX or a plug-in hybrid TX both of which have V6s thankfully (I wish Acura would add a hybrid option to the new gen MDX), but the CX90 and X7 are well worth looking at too! I would not go for a GLE, GLS, Pallisade, or Telluride due to bad reliability. Finally, there’s the Audi Q7 and the Infiniti QX60, but those will never do it for me as the Q7 exterior is boring IMO, the cargo space isn’t that good, and the 3rd row is useless (atp the Q8 is a much better choice for a bit more money), and the new QX60 has WAY too much body roll for my liking and it negatively affects the driving experience.

Edit: There’s also the Genesis GV80 but I’m honestly not a fan of the look and the MDX/TX will be more reliable.

MDX hands down! It’s better driving, looks more premium and has a more refined drivetrain. The TX feels more Toyota than Lexus, however, if you need the space and fuel economy go for the TX.

I already bought mdx advance last month. I like the model and driving over Lexus.

I just found your channel. I am a car fanatic so I look forward to more of your videos. Thank you for your points on here. One thing I’ve noticed as I’ve sat in both cars is that the Acura is a little too small for me. At an athletic 6’ tall and 225 lbs, I want a little more leg room and head room. The only way I can achieve that is by reclining the seat more than I want to. Thank you again for your review.

I feel like the TX is not lexus enough. Can’t they just put the Lexus headlights instead of that single projector headlight? Things like that, etc.

Thanks for the super helpful review. Recommend that you play the SAME music during stereo comparison. It is hard to discern differences in sound quality unless you play the SAME track side by side. Thank you!
