Why THIS Is The Most Dangerous Car Ever Made (R.I.P. Paul Walker)

In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, it’s a Supercar unplugged.
It’s one of the most exquisite ….. Shocking ….. And diabolical cars to ever leave a factory.
What started life as a secret underground project aimed squarely at taking on the unforgivable and brutal 24 hours of lemans, would ultimately be left abandoned by its maker.
That is of course until the madmen at Porsche stripped it down for parts, repurposed the technology, and gave the world the absolute pinnacle of analog supercars.
This is the AUTOMOTIVE LEGEND with a heart stolen straight from a Formula 1 racer.
A car synonymous with pure excitement and untamable personality
So much personality in fact, that, Jay Leno, The Stig and even racing legend Walter Rohl couldn’t keep it from biting them on track.
It has a clutch light enough to stall almost constantly without proper experience…. an engine imported directly from the automotive GODS
And a seemingly ILLEGAL lack of electronic assists
It’s brutal and pure, it’s beauty AND the beast
It’s the Porsche Carrera GT.

I remember the backlash of this car during Paul Walker's passing. The negativity surrounding the car was heard. I also remember this car being one of the most OP vehicles to own in NFS Most Wanted within that same timeline. Pretty weird time then.

One of my favourite cars of all time. One of these showed up at a track day event years ago and I’ll never forget the sound of that car going by at wide open throttle. Amazing. I wonder how it would perform with something like a set of Michelin Cup 2’s? Tire technology has come a long way since this car came out.

The Walker death crash was all driver error. Worn tires and going nearly 100 in a 35mph zone is a recipe for disaster in any car.

This and the LFA. Two of my favorites. The sound of that engine.

I drove a CGT at LeMans Bugatti just after the launch. Without doubt the best road car I have ever driven, however the chassis created more grip capability than the road tyres at the time could handle. This led to the car having ‘hair trigger’ like behaviour in fast corners which required relatively high skill levels to manage. We were there testing the then new 911GT3RS which was an incredibly quick car at the time. The CGT was considerably quicker even in road set up. Tyre technology has now moved in considerably and these issues have been resolved. In my opinion, the CGT is the absolute pinnacle of the analog super car. It is without equal - but it requires a driver with decent skill levels to master it. Which - for a pure super car - is as it should be

I've heard that with good tires and a capable driver the CGT is amazing and not hard to drive. You just have to remember to let the clutch all of the way out before touching the throttle pedal.

The left side ignition are pure racing heritage, from when races started with the drivers outside the cars.
Porsche was often first away since Porsche-drivers could start their engines with their left hand, and at the same time use their right hand to put the car in gear.

This and the LFA are two of the best sounding street cars of all time.

Before the Carrera GT, the most dangerous car ever made was the Chevrolet Corvair. THAT car was so dangerous it got a book written about it called "Unsafe At Any Speed".

Sadly many people forget about the noble m600 without having ABS and airbags

Most people couldn't properly drive a race car without crashing it. That's what this car really is. Back in 79 I bought a Torino GT that was being set up for stock car racing and I reinstalled the lights and started driving it on the street. It didn't take long for me to realize that it was more car than I could handle. I sold it after three months.

These cars were not so crazy dangerous, they just must be treated with respect . The lack of Driver aids .

Any car that could do over 100mph and was built before disc brakes and radial tyres was a widow maker.

If you're not an experience driver well dont call it a death trap because there's no way an inexperience driver will be able to handle it😊

Wow!! I made a comment yesterday about the suspension snapping on Paul Walkers Porsche that caused the wreck… then I see this video.
