Tried this with my sick hen. She slept a lot; stayed away from other hens; her comb was laid down. Thought sure she was going to die from previous experiences with hens. She was a little better the next day. After that she was running around with all the hens. This definitely works. Several weeks later she is still normal. Thank you.

One of mine had a lash egg. We had to soak her just like you did. She had a fever so we kept her in cool water. When it was clear she wasn’t feeling better, I put some KY-Jelly on a gloved finger and gently checked inside her cloaca and after a minute of adding lubrication, she pushed out a very big lash egg. Her fever went down and she was as good as new the next day. We love our ladies and I’m so glad I helped her live. She was a great egg layer for many years after that.

My hen was walking all weird so I did this. A massive 100 gram egg came out after 2 mins. Great video!

I have an epsom salt bath 5 gallon bucket that I put chickens or ducks in. The top has a hole so that they can look out if they want and for ventilation. They stand there for 10-15 min then I let them go. It helps with bumble foot and other issues.😊

My pet chicken is 14 years old, doesn't lay eggs. She has rough days sometimes, I might give this a try and see how she goes next time she is a bit worn out. She is such a friendly girl, very cuddly 🙂

Some times a chicken is depressed and needs attention. She may feel neglected or has been at the bottom of the pecking order for too long. I find with my birds simply giving a chicken one to one attention and fussing over her makes the world of difference. I love the bathing as it is therapeutic . Thank you so much for making this video!

I do this for my chickens too. I place a towel on top of their backs to make them feel safe. If I’m going to perform surgery, (Bumble Foot) I soak them for 30 minutes. I also speak minimally and softly. She’s blessed to have you!

I am glad to see that I am not the only person who love’s their chickens. I am anxious to bathe mine in epsom salts. I didn’t know that they would allow me to bathe them, I thought it would upset them, but I see how much it helped this sweet chicken.

Very important to note how calm you kept her. Stress can unfortunately kill them.

you also need to check her for a pip in her tongue. which hardens and makes it difficult for them to eat. it is taken out by gently rubbing the tongue with ashes, it helps the shell/pip to come out.

That's sooo sweet, you brought memories of my brother, he past a few years ago, . And he use to have lots of chickens, roosters, pigeons and other beautiful animals and the animals used to follow him every where he went, my sister use to called him Mr. Do Little, he did not like it but the name was perfect for him, he use to heal his animals every time they were sick, he took care of all of them with Soo much Love, the animals adored him, he had an Amazing looking huge dog that use to love him Soo much and that dog use to help my brother with all the animals when he die the animals where Soo sad and the dog was the worse, his sadnesses was Soo clear it was like he wanted to die with my brother as well, and he did, he die of sadness because he love my brother sooo much and he missed him just as much.😥😓😢☹️😪😥😴😴😢☹️😓😪😓😥
I missed my brother and I missed the wonderful place he use to have in Puerto Rico. I wish I can turn back time so I can tell him how much I loved him, and how I miss the time I spend in his beautiful land in P.R.
One thing I always do, is tell my family when we talk and when we are together is that I love them Soo much, I kiss them and hug them even more . That way if something happened they can say my sister loved me Soo much, And that is the truth, don't waist time fighting with your love ones one day there here and then all of the sudden they are gone, and the regrets come, so many I could've said and I should've done that, and becareful what you say that maybe one day you would saying, I shouldn't never said that.
I love take care of yourself and others, kiss and hug now that you are alive because tomorrow is not for sure.

Epsom salts is also a great detoxifier. For people too. It draws out from the body as it soothes. So glad to see you applying this principle to your lovely chickens. Amazing how it works, isn't it!
