Funny story about my garlic. Planted some last fall but nothing grew in the spring. After a bunch of heavy rain now I see garlic growing lol. At first I had no clue what it was but then I remembered I planting them last year lol

Sometimes, you just blow my pea-pickin' mind. I love that you're always pushing the envelope. The other benefit of keeping that hardneck garlic in the ground - is the shorter shelf life. So rather than harvesting and letting it go bad, ergo useless, leave it - and regrow. Also - haven't done justice to Tuck. What a heart dog, garden guardian hero. I LOVE seeing him. Thanks JP.

I'm so jealous of how easy it is to dig into your soil.

It was good to see that you replanted in the same raised planter location without completely changing out the soil. That's what I was looking for. I can now replant mine in the same raised planter location as this year .

I did that last year for 2023 year in Sydney Australia with Egyptian Hard Neck Garlic😊
Ready to harvest November/December ❤

I did this on accident this year by forgetting some bulbs :). I replanted the large cloves. The small cloves that were too little to plant tasted great in chopped up in soup (greens and all!).

The longer you grow the same garlic in progressive yrs the more acclimated it becomes, just like saving seed. Same for bunching onions. It's common sense not rocket science. Yes I've been growing plants 50+ yrs . Mulch well, fertilize properly and water well in the spring and early summer.

I've never had a garden, live in an apartment. I'd love to try it though. Very soothing video :)
