How to plant garlic in raised beds or in ground from cloves. There are two different types of garlic. Each for a different winter chill. Hardneck and softneck garlic. Should you refrigerate garlic bulbs before planting? What time of year do you plant garlic? Do you fertilize garlic?

I think onions and garlic feel special, because it is a harvest that can last a whole year. There is a sense of empowerment growing what is the base of so many daily meals and you can store and survey your stored harvest at any time. 😊

Canada🇨🇦 I planted local grown store bought garlic 🧄, green and yellow onions 🧅, potatoes 🥔 and mushrooms 🍄. Grows great especially the garlic 🧄 and green onions. I bought cherry and beefsteak tomato 🍅 and pepper 🫑🌶️ seeds also. I cant wait to harvest some and continue to grow more! I grow indoors during the winter and outside during warmer seasons.

I used garlic from a local farm last year. I planted all 6 hard neck cloves and all 6 came up. The last bulb did mold at 4-5 months but there is a lot of humidity in my house and it wasn’t certified seed garlic. I absolutely get a wonderful different feeling from growing my own garlic and it’s soooo easy! Well, I planted 214 cloves this year, in October. And 😂 4 varieties to share with my family 💗🙌🏻 🧄 my germination has been amazing 🤩

There is nothing weird with that feeling, my wife and I feel the same, we also believe they ate much more flavorful❣️ Having a sence of accomplishment and pride over caring for your plants is nothing to feel weird over either, to many today have no idea how to grow their own food.
