Never was a big fan of this song, was in 6th grade when it came out, my first BOYFRIEND and soulmate, my best bud's fav song, he passed in the 6th grade, cancer, every time I hear it now I go back to Tom's happy days of playing air guitar in class, RIP TOM, this one is for you and I just threw my shoulder out playing the air guitar.

What could be more important than to understand how life really works, the nature of who you are, where we come from and where we are heading? Nothing is more important, yet most people will ignore this post and go on with typical mind activities. The mind is the ruler of this world, the power of it is too overwhelming for most, but we have to overcome it if shall have any real peace, happiness, comfort, justice, morality, unity and even survival. Worries, fear, hate, frustration, hyperactive and unneccessary thinking, negative emotions and even wars, genocides, famines and other injustices all has its roots in the mind. So nothing is more important than to understand the nature of the mind and separate it from who you really are. Google *Truth Contest* and read *The Present*, its the most important document on earth and it will change mankind and the world when enough people reads it.

This song divided the Class of 74, and our Senior Prom. Our graduates were divided twice because '74 had over 500 grads from one high school. My BFF and I were Pompom Captains, and we introduced flashlights in our Poms, while the Football Team ran the field into dry ice, and no lights.
It was an eery moment, in history, and WE KNEW IT. WE WERE, AND CONTINUE to be LEADERS!
ALSO, we didn't need dope, we had TRUTH and FRIENDSHIPS!
SMOKE ON THE WATER will always be a ROCK N ROLL: CLASSIC. The memories it gave are simply timeless!

In the '70's, I saw them at DU Arena in Denver. Such a small venue, I popped a champagne bottle, the top hit the stage. LOUD and so much fun. Good ole days, yes I'm old and still rockin hard

The legendary Steve Morse on gutiar! Yeah Ritchie invented the lick folks, but guess what? He's off prancing about dressed like a fop while playing Renaissance music for his wife to sing to - which is fine but the point is he's NOT here, Steve is and he does a superb job since Ritchie doesn't want anything to do with Deep Purple any more. Go Steve!
