State Farm Drive Safe App and Plan Beacon Doesn't Work.

I work overnights and get off at 4am. I was driving perfectly for weeks, and my score continued to decreased. I called statefarm and they said I was getting a bad rating because i was driving at questionable time of night. The hell? The recommended that i just don't drive after i get off...that i just wait an extra 3-4 hrs until driving home.

I got one, it worked for a few months. Now I can't log into the sight for the past few years. They have still been giving me the discount though so I'm not complaining.

Thanks for the info. I am about to switch from All State to State Farm due to better pricing for my 6 months policy. But I'm not getting this piece of device. It seems like it will cause more harm than good for me. 😅

Had nothing but trouble with the one. Truck stayed in the garage for four months over the winter. Came renewal time, they only reduced the premium by $5 bucks! How's that work?!

It NEVER CHARGES MORE then your premium should be. Just want to be very clear, the drive safe and save is only a discount. It will never charge you more for your premium, but if you drive a lot of miles per year that drive safe and save discount will be reduced. That’s how it works.
My beacon finally died. After four years, they shipped out a new one when I called the office, synced it to Bluetooth and it works perfectly.

I’ve found it’s often the phone settings problem, not drive safe and save, and not State Farm. You obviously don’t have to have it. You can forgo that discount if you want. You can get Short annual mileage discount instead of drive safe and safe, but the drive safe and safe discount is going to be greater if you don’t drive a lot of annual miles.
I am just trying to speak from facts as a user. I’ve used it for four years now, and it’s been great for us and has saved us money. So sorry you have had a bad experience!!

My dad's been with state Farm for 28 years he knows pays $80 for full coverage on most new vehicles if he gets one.

I didn’t request one nor did they tell me that I’d get one yet I got a email for one so what happens if u don’t use it and or leave it at home? Because I’m already looking for a new carrier

Do not do any drive safe things that charge you for using your phone. Even if you are hands free... and have it coming through the car speakers.... terrible. They hike your rates!!

Do you consider the data usage, or how much battery consumption?

So you might save $30 a month on insurance, yet in the months time you had to charge you phone several times more, plus the data.

I play mobile games and they take a lot of data the more you use If you drive a lot it's basically pinching you pocket just to use it. All so they can decide to charge you more or give you a deal?
