I have a trick for getting Gracie back once you’ve passed your fashion check, since it can take a long time for her to come again. First, once she comes, pass the fashion check. Then, save and quit. After you’ve done that, set your time to the day before and then get set up. You then save and quit again, set your time to the next day (the actual date), log in, and she’ll be back and ready for another fashion check! I used this trick and got her to set up her shop in my town all in one day by doing this about 4 times.
