I spoke to many people who are having minisucs issue, half says we need surgery and half said no need, what do you suggest?

Hello dear, i have grade 2 miniscus tear, in the year 2018, Doc advised surgery but i never did that. My knee still hurts, its a bearable constant pain. Do you think we can repair minisus on its own or surgery is necessary.
