Usually at the joint line between the shin bone and thigh bone. If you put your hands around your knee and make a circle, you'll be on the joint line. It's possible to get pain in other places at the same time, but this is usually where meniscus pain is felt.

So far, every problem a person can have with the knee that causes pain.. l have it..🤦‍♀️ boy.. maybe my knee is not the problem, just maybe it's farther up..

Sorry to keep bugging you Dr but based on location of pain this makes me think my initial thoughts that I have a meniscus tear are correct. I don’t seem to have clicking and popping though which you keep mentioning so not sure? Thoughts? Thank you!!!!

It hurts me behind the knee and inner part of knee so guess it's miniscus. I get sharp pain.

I had mixed interpretation for my mri scan from doctors. I have fluid build up, suspect partial tear of the acl and torn meniscus. But it hurts above and lateral side of the knee cap and underneath. I feel discomfort wheb I stand for too long. And there is popping sound when I bend my knee standing. Is this necessarily a torn meniscus or it might just be pfps?
