Rebecca, for me personally writing a chronicle of my 32 years with my ex-wife, our families, our aging parents, and our two daughters has helped me tremendously to start to put the pain behind me. I started writing on April 24th, 2020, and will hopefully complete it for the most part by the end of the week. In the process of writing it, the memories flooded back in bits and pieces, dribs, and drabs, and bolts of light, but on the whole it coalesced to elucidate one primal fact. What happens to a child when they are young, impressionable, vulnerable, defenseless, and then are betrayed by sick misguided parents, irrevocably damages many of them forever. Down through one generation after another Narcissism undulates like a scythe through heads of wheat as it takes its grim toll on each succeeding generation. Sadly, with no on being the wiser, or ever coming close to having an epiphany of what really happened in so many lives, over so many years, it's all swept away.
Now my journey through the past is almost at and end, thank you Rebecca for all your help, and wonderful insights. Jack
