John did the absolute right thing. His love and affection for Freddie meant more to him. It was just too painful."Without Freddie there is no Queen." I miss them both.
I fully respect Brian and Roger for their carrying on. It just isn't the same.

I totally respect his decision to walk away from it all. He could have added many more millions to his bank, but he didn't need to do that. After so many years of recording and touring, who can blame him for wanting to step away and just enjoy his life. He makes more in royalties than any of us could fathom. God bless him!

I totally understand why he stepped away. Freddie's passing was very hard on him. All he wants is a quiet life with family and grandkids. Leave the man alone..

he was right to step away Queen hasn't been the same since Freddie died he can't be replaced, and John to his credit understood that, leave the man alone.

It’s not at all “crazy” that he chose not to attend a rock event and I hate that footage of people surrounding him and forcing him to sign autographs. He’s made it clear he wants his privacy and it’s not at all appropriate to see scenes like we did.

Under-rated bass player and a more important part of Queen that people realise. Leave him alone and respect his choice - it’s not for others to judge how he lives his life.

Brian and Roger are doing a great job making sure that the songs will live forever. Their songs are still as relevant today as when they were written. Queen forever!❤

Thank you for making this video John clearly doesn't like having attention on him so he deserves to be left alone but he will forever be loved by Queen fans

After many years of fame and fortune, John deserves to do what he loves, being with his children and grandchildren. All those years that the band traveled the world was great for all of them, but it’s also great being home again. We’ll never forget you Deacy!!

A lovely portrait of the fabulous and talented John Deacon. I totally respect him and his wishes to retire from public view and just enjoy his private life with his many children and beautiful wife. I, like millions of others, will always love John and the awesome music he created with Brian, Freddie and Roger. The music of Queen is eternal, and we are blessed to be able to hear it as often as we like! Blessings to you and your family John, enjoy your retirement, and most of all, thank you for the music, God

I love Queen... & Freddie... forever. Each member had/has unique musical talents & together they were 'magic'. I can't imagine their pain & heartache at losing Freddie - the greatest of the great. Without Freddie Queen was not Queen. Brian, Roger & John each had the right to choose their own way after Freddie was gone. I think John had every right to his way - let him live in peace & privacy as he chooses. Thank you to Queen - & to Freddie, the musical love of my life, RIP legend xx

Who can criticise a man who's main concerns in life were his wife and children. He made his money and with Freddie's passing, was given the opportunity to leave. I don't think he had enough self confidence and without Freddie, he knew his music making days were over. He was a great bass player and good song writer but he could also be left to fill in with other members songs where he added great riffs and generally gelled the songs together. I loved him right from the beginning, he was so cute. Shame he didn't have more confidence.

Totally understand why he quit after Freddie died and the tribute concert was nice to watch.
The performance of the lead singer of extreme came close, and the vocals of George Michael were great.
There can only be one Freddie 🙏
I saw the movie bohemian rhapsody, and that was fine, but for me Queen will always be Freddie, brain, Roger, and Deacon 🙏👑👑

People who are real Queen fans should know better than to approach him for photos and signatures. If I were to see him and make eye contact I would just give him a thumbs up.

I have been following Queen since 1974 and just love the band.
John is right about Queen is no longer Queen without Freddy.
Never the less - The Rhapsody Tour was amazing... The sound is still there!
