🚨 IMPORTANT: Don't begin scar tissue work until you have clearance from your doctor. The earlier you can begin the better, but it's never too late to get the benefits. I've seen improvements in my patients starting scar tissue massage even several years postpartum.

Scar tissue is the body's super glue that helps to close wounds and decrease flexibility of those tissues as they are healing. But once healing is complete we need to restore flexibility back into those tissues otherwise there can be decreased range of motion for the muscles underneath. In the case of a C-section, the scar can "tug" on the abdominals and pelvic floor muscles, leading to low back pain, hip pain and even pain with sex.

Thank you so much for this! 7m pp and have been having a lot of pinching/tugging feeling with random bouts of distracting pain. I’ve done one day of this and it already feels like I have more flexibility 🩷🩷
