You like carrots or not you will like this carrot cake. It's soft and moist, you don't really taste carrot in it. The orange flavour goes very well with it, This is my own recipe and this is how I like my carrot cake. but if you want to use vanilla, cinnamon, or almond you certainly can. Although I strongly recommend that you try the way it is.

I made this and it tastes AMAZING!! Instead of 200g white sugar i used 100g brown and 100g white sugar. Instead of 3 tbsp orange zest and 1 tbsp orange juice, I used the zest and juice of 1 medium lemon, and i also added a splash of vanilla essence and i left out the raisins cause i don't like them haha. Then i served it with cream cheese mixed with a little honey :) 10/10 and I will definitely be making this again!! Thank you for sharing!! <3

This cake is delicious. I bake this almost weekly basis. I changed regular flour to oat flour to be on healthier side and bake for 1 hour. Thank you so much for this recipe

i have made this like 6 times already and it turns out amazing every time, i also add a bit of vanilla extract and it makes it taste 10x better!

I have been using this recipe ever since I started baking. It always came out amazing with a delicate zesty aroma filling the kitchen. My mom loves this cake. Her last time of the cake was like 5 years ago. She asked me to make one again. This time I’m gonna ice with lighter and fluffier creamcheese frosting using whipped cream instead of butter like classic buttercream. I believe this goes well all together.
If you are cake lover looking for a fresh, homemade-like cake, I recommend this recipe. Only thing I adjust is to reduce the amount of sugar by a third of the original.

If anyone's wondering for the cup measurements, here you go!

1 3/4cups all purpose flour
Baking powder- 1 1/2tsp
Baking soda-1tsp
Salt 1/2tsp
4eggs
1 cup sugar
Orange zest -3tbsp(optional)
1tbsp orange juice(optional)
Veg oil 3/4cup
3/4th cups grated carrots

Tip-add vanilla extract and 1/2tsp cinnamon for a more flavorful taste!

Yours is the only Carrot cake I ever make. You are the only one who doesn’t put extra ‘gunk’ on the top! I want to taste carrots- by adding all the covering- it feels like someone is trying to hide its actual taste! Love this one, my staple!

I followed the recipe exactly and made this as a birthday cake with cream cheese frosting and toasted walnuts. It was delicious. It's the best carrot cake recipe that I have tried so far. Thank you for sharing.

OMG!!! Hi dear thanks so much for the recipe..it turned out to be the perfect carrot cake i have ever made ..i reduced sugar to 3/4 cup and replaced raisins with walnuts ..coz my kids dont like raisins..perfect recipe..i think all should try this recipe ..

I made this cake yesterday and it turn out so soft and delicious. Best carrot cake that I have baked so far. But just for your information, I reduce the sugar to around 70g, use 3 large eggs and also added 50g oats (blended). Thank you so very much for sharing this recipe.😋😋😋

Greetings! I tried your recipe and tweaked 20% of the white sugar for brown sugar, added half cup of orange juice, added walnuts and changed the vegetable oil to melted butter n it turns out good! I have no baking soda so I changed into 3tsp baking powder. Especially fragrant and the kick of the orange in the mouth was simply great! Thank you for the sharing!

I made this cake for the second time, absolute perfection. First time i failed with the carrot cake after a different recipe, i was a bit scared to try again but i got the perfect cake. Thank you for sharing with us xx

Just prepared this cake yesterday. It’s awesome. Instead of egg, I used curds. Since I did not have orange juice I added orange flavour eno salt, hence a little colour difference. It’s superbly tasty. Thank you for the recipe. 🙏🏼😊

I just baked !!!! I baked at 160 for 45 minutes only . The cake is delicious. Those who are using electronic oven, I use both upper and lower heat . Preheated for 10 minutes . Thanks for the recipe
