I love that you regularly remind people that they don’t need stuff that is heavily marketed to them.

Wait until you have joint pain. Wrinkles will not matter at all! Enjoy the function of your body. If you wake up in no pain, that is a gift!

I feel so sad, my grandmother has many wrinkles and she is so beautiful. I thought she was so beautiful when I was a child and then I heard people on the internet talk about how wrinkles are ugly and you NEED to get rid of them ASAP, through Botox and fillers and surgery. That is upsetting.

My first YouTube comment ever to say thank you, Dr. Dray. I needed to hear this. The culture around beauty is bordering on toxic, ageist and even sexist at times. It's a relief to hear this reminder that skin care is ultimately about health, not about striving to meet impossible beauty standards that defy nature. Aging is inevitable, and it's a gift.

You are so right!!!! I never ever thought of how many wrinkles I would get when I get older. And I'm so shocked how many girls nowadays in their 20s are already getting botox and fillers! There is definitely pressure in our society!!

Ironically skincare is the easiest step but eating healthy, exercising, sleeping is the tough part

Amazing reminder that aging is a natural part of life, to be embraced and even cherished, not to be feared.

You’re the only dermatologist online that doesn’t give me a fright for aging gracefully ❤ every other ones seems to say serums, serums, serums, to look “this good”, and I appreciate you the most ❤

I’m 57 and have always taken care of my skin. I have wrinkles… but very little sun damage. That’s a win in my book.

So so true! I'm in my 50s now and never once thought about wrinkles, aging etc. in my 20s either 🙂. I love that I didn't think about it!

When I worked retail I remember seeing so many women with obvious filler & Botox (nothing wrong with it in moderation) but, this beautiful woman stood out to me the most, so much till this day I can picture her in my mind. When she smiled I could see the wrinkles on the corner of her eyes, her smile lines & forehead wrinkles. She was so polite & kind it made her even more beautiful she just had a very lighthearted attitude. She was clearly embracing her natural beauty ❤ wherever she is I hope she’s living a happy life

Yeah I just turned 40 and never thought about what I would look like at this age. I can't afford procedures and the like so I have accepted that I am going to age as the good Lord decides and that's okay.❤👍

THANK YOU! It makes me so sad the amount of mental turmoil people put themselves through worrying about wrinkles.

And absolutely self care is a line that really sells products right now!!!

I was too busy raising my girls in my 20's! Also, I never looked at my mother, grandmother, Aunts and thought, oh my, look at those wrinkles! No, we saw their character as their asset. Am I ever glad I grew up in a different decade!

Thank you for pointing this all out, Dr. Dray. I'm about your age and had a similar experience in my 20s..."aging" wasn't something I was thinking about much. And having not obsessed over it for years, I don't see the first signs of aging I'm experiencing as any travesty. These days actual kids are obsessed with specifically anti-aging products. It really is sad. And I can't imagine how devastating it will be when they do inevitably see signs of aging after dedicating their youth to "preventing" it.

Absolutely! Wrinkles are a sign that you've smiled, laughed, cried... it's a privilage to grow old!

I think it’s also important to emphasize our emotions. For example, anger and disappointment. No amount of skin care products is going to change its effects.
