F-Stops VS T-Stops…Can We Switch To T-Stops Please?

Soooo...I’d like to see lens manufacturers adopt T-stops either in the place of, or in addition to T-stops in the way they market their lenses...who's with me? In this video I will explain the differences between F and T-stops and then I’m going to make my case for prioritising T-stops.

Agree regarding T stops. It's a more honest and objective measurement of the brightness capability of a lens. Agree with your Mets hat, suspended on your guitar. But tell me about your experience with the Sony a7sIII---do you mind not having C4k? Are the Sony lenses affordable and the IBIS tolerable? I found the a7III terrible.
I'm impressed with how much better your presentations have become.
How about a review of the A7sIII after two years? I'd be interested to see that.

is virtually impossible. because to make affordable lenses you have a much larger production margin. f stop is approx. t stop is very exact. making requirements very strict. then it gets very expensive.

I never thought to check the T-stop of my photo lenses. Didn't even know DXO Mark did this. Also upset that I have that Canon 24-105 f/4. I guess I just accept that photo lenses will have a lot of variability. They don't match in light transmission. They don't match in color cast (often times). They aren't really created as a matching set like good cinema lenses are supposed to

I didn’t know there is such thing T stop,
Anyway a slight different in the exposure shouldn’t be a problem for 99.9% of people vs depth of field different
And you can’t put too much number on a box so….

i think manufacturers will not include t-stop, like timing on RAM on your PC.
cuz its bad marketing.
