I actually find their shield strength to be perfect. It goes down pretty easily with Plasma weapons, as it should, but you'd be surprised how much gunfire a basic Elite can tank from a weapon like the Battle Rifle on higher difficulties. It's not so much that you can't use those weapons, but it does make those quick pops with a Plasma weapon followed by a shot to the head super satisfying.

They can also use human weapons in Reach in campaign and firefight they are classified as heretics in the enemy selection menu. They have a standard heavy and sniper rank.

8:00 "I don't like it showing up if they shield hasn't taken damage" is what I think you mean... not trying to correct you but wording might make people think that you don't want the shield to appear at all...

But ya I agree, best 343 elite design and makes more more frustrated we can't play as them... one thing I am concerned about it that elite skull armor peace... the hole mandible looks like one bone... shouldn't the mandible be multiple bones like a finger?

Fighting against the covenant is fine and all. But I'm finally ready for a new type of enemy. The covenant is getting kind of stale, as an antagonist.

Fun fact: Elites would wield UNSC weapons in Halo Reach firefight if you select “Heretic Elites” in the wave settings.

I would love for you to look at the evolution of flood combat forms. And the differences in there behavior from game to game is something I would love to see a deep dive into. 💜

I love the infinite elites. I know 343 are getting a lot of heat right now but looking at it all I still feel so appreciative of their work on the art style and combat loop.

I love infinite elites! and I wonder if there's a DLC infinite campaign where we fight with arbiter and good elites I would love them to have their halo 3 armor and not the 5th one.
minors look like the combat armor seen in 3's campaign
majors will look like the commando armor seen in 3's elite armor customization
spec ops elites will look like the Assult armor as well seen in 3's campaign
zealot elites will maybe look like the ascetic armor I guess
and hope to god we get to see not just arbiter and the shipmaster as well! I know it may or may not happen but it's just a what if moment

I love Infinite Elites, as they finally look and sound like Elites from previous games rather than being like Brutes. I do wish to see Elites in black armor again, like the Spec Ops Elites in CE, they look so cool.
