By Lore, Hunters/Lekgolo aren’t prone to Flood Infection, being converted into weaponised combat forms. But this mod did sum up my imagination if they were able to like every other life forms.

Wow, the Jackel and Drone one looked pretty violent if you ask me. Very fitting for the Flood.

I think my only problem with these transformations is that they explode when changing. I liked it in Halo 3 when you could actually see them being torn open and ripped apart. Like an actual zombification, it was what really added to the fear factor

The methane tank exploding from the grunt being infected is a really nice touch!

Flood conversions look amazing especially with the helmets still on

while hunters can't be directly converted into a host like most species, they can still be used as bio-mass for collective forms. also, you can't tell me they didn't have the hunters in mind when they made the tank form in halo 3, its just too similar.

The Hunter combat form was actually kinda terrifying

I'm always be looking for someone who really port functional Flood infection and combat forms to Reach's engine. This have so much potential to make custom game modes, it's so hard to find good tutorials to mod this game, and I don't know where and how can I start. Nice work.

Really cool though Hunters are immune to the Flood and I’m not sure they’d infect Drones. Anyone that’s played Halo Wars knows they can infect Grunts and Jackals though. Now do Skirmisher Flood combat forms.

this is really cool. Would have loved to have flood in reach

Dude, the hunter one looks so sick!

(I know they can't be infected, but holy damn! That's so fucking cool!)

The hunter one is pretty clever. Even tho its not "lore accurate" But turning/converting the worms into biomass while plunging inside the body so the flood infection can possess into pure forms while forming up inside the hunter armor to become armored tank is brilliant!

Basically a fusion of Tank Form Flood and a Lekgolo/Hunter. Definitely something to take seriously, lore or no lore.

Having The Flood on Halo Reach would be horrifying for Noble Team enough as it is.

The most painful part of being infected into a combat form is having the flood web shoot out of your forearm.

I see some confusion in the comments about what the Flood can and cannot infect in canon, so let me break it down:

Jackals, Grunts and Drones: Insufficient calcium, technically possible but the Flood just deems them too weak to be turned into viable combat forms, so unless the Flood is desperate, they will just turn them into biomass.

Hunters, Scarabs and other wormy bois: No centralized nervous system makes infection inconvenient at best using infected air or impossible due to the infection forms being too big for the individual worms. They get converted into biomass.

Engineers: Mostly mechanical and are outright impossible to infect, though perhaps a Gravemind might be able to infect their mind like it did the Mendicant Bias.

To my knowledge, there is no organic species truly immune to Flood infection, the best one can do is be immune to direct conversion into a combat form, otherwise nearly anything that breathes can be turned into Flood biomass.

"I wonder what grunts and hunters would look like when flood transforms them?" -someone commenting on the halo 3 flood transformations video
