my mom is a nurse and comes home drained physically and mentally daily, she has a lot of back pain and would need to lay down on a heat pad on some days to function. sure she is paid well but if you're only in it for the pay don't do it. plus some nurses are on call and you sure as hell don't wanna be called at 3am to go to work.

I’m sure a lot of people became nurses because they were pushed into it by parents. You can tell by the ones that don’t care about people. Just the pay check.
Granted there are a lot of amazing empathetic nurses out there. Especially the Hospice ones.

Both my sisters are nurses. The number of people they have worked with that have quit their jobs and done a whole career change after a year is astounding. I worked as a CNA before deciding I did not want to be a nurse. It’s a tough job.

I have zero aspirations. Any dreams or goals I've had for my future have let me down or been shut down. I'm Filipino. Growing up, I've been surrounded by nurses telling me to become a nurse when I grow up. I was a nurse from the mid-70s to 2010 so I saw many faces and there actually weren't many people or patients that were irritating it was usually the doctors so get a job where you can be independent like ICU or Home Health. I loved being a nurse I loved my patients

I hate waking up early but im on placement as a student nurse and I absolutely love it. Waking up early to go somewhere you enjoy and don't enjoy are pretty different. So yes, you can still be a good nurse even if you don't like waking up early
